CHFF Power Rankings following Week 1

Now, if you've been on PPO for any length of time, you know that I think Power Rankings suck ass.
These Power Rankings suck ass, as well.
But one can always count on Cold Hard Football Facts to come up with some great stats.
This week's edition is full of them.

    http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com...d_shakers.html

In particular, read what they say about the Vikings and AD:

    10. MINNESOTA (1-0). Last week: 34-20 at Cleveland. Vikings fans are a little too thrilled by a win over one of the worst teams in football. But we’re all thrilled watching the great Adrian Peterson, who literally bitch-slapped Cleveland defenders on Sunday. Through his first 30 NFL games, AP has rushed 626 times for 3,281 yards (5.24 YPA). Jim Brown, through his first 30 NFL games, rushed 613 times for 3,206 yards (5.23 YPA). Next week: at Detroit and another blow-out win.
    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I think the comparison to Jim Brown is apt, not just statistically but in terms of style.
Watch their highlights and the two look very similar.
Definitely that long AD TD run was Jim Brown-esque.
I'm actually surprised that there weren't some Jim Brown highlights thrown into the broadcast to demonstrate that comparison.

Looks like a good site too.
Hadn't seen their take on Cutler from last spring.
    Good stuff.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Thanks for the read my friend.

Vikings fans are a little too thrilled by a win over one of the worst teams in football.
Not all Vikings fans are thrilled by the way........Some are mildly amused how most are a little to thrilled.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I'm always thrilled with a Vikings win.
Doesn't matter if it's a suck ass team like the Browns, or an NFL power house.
A win is a win and in this league you take anything you can get.
    Skol Vikings!

I honestly feel sorry for those who are just 'meh' over the win, regardless of the type of competition it was.
Beating the browns certainly doesn't mean we are Super Bowl contenders, but it sure as hell is better than a loss.
And not only did we beat them a bad team, we kicked their brown asses.

I think #10 is a fair spot for the Vikings at this point.

    Nice post.

Problem is, we didn't kick their brown dimply buttocks.
We actually looked pretty shitty the first half.
Now if we would have played a complete game, then, yes we could say that.

The best thing that could have happened to this team is they have a soft schedule to start out.
That fits nicely with the "New" approach the Chiller is taking to getting a team ready and might actually get us to the 10 wins that most believe is feasible.

Vikings knew they had a soft schedule before Chiller ran training camp this year... ever consider maybe that's why he did it?
The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

I'll excuse the first half as early season jitters.
And the second half was probably a slight fluke - I don't expect them to play that well against tougher competition on a regular basis.
The second half is what wet dreams are made of.
