Chester Taylor to the Redskins?
http://blog.theredzone.org/ViewItem.asp?Entry=4066Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports some people believe Vikings running back Chester Taylor, who can become an unrestricted free agent after the season, could end up with the Washington Redskins, who love to spend money.

Noooooooooooo!
Okay, it is just speculation.
We should have got something for him if we weren't going to try and resign him.
Should have traded for Betts and a draft pick or something like that before the trade deadline went by.
The best way to get him to stay is to win the Bowl.
If he still feels he needs to make a name for himself, have at it CT, make your name.

man id want this guy to retire a Vike. But it is a business and I'm sure Dan Snyder would give him all the money he wants. But honestly if I was Chester, I'd prob stay with Minny. Think about it, why would I want to be the backup of Clinton Portis and max win 6 games than be the backup and 3rd Down back for AP and go deep into the playoffs?Noooooooooooo!

Re: Chester Taylor to the Redskins?
Chester Taylor is not nearly a big enough star for the Redskins to be interested

Re: Chester Taylor to the Redskins?
Vikings are his best chance to win a Super Bowl. He would be stupid to leave if that is his goal.

Re: Chester Taylor to the Redskins?
I would be sad to lose Chester, espec' to the fricken Redskins who stink!
The guy is one of the better back's in the league though so i guess there are going to be offers to him, i hope the FO put together a decent package and that he signs up and stays on a Viking.

Re: Chester Taylor to the Redskins?
Eh ... right up the Redskins ally really. A player who is past his prime going to get overpaid and underperform.
Chester will not find a better gig as a backup ... and at 30-years-old ... he really cannot expect a starting position anywhere.
I would not be surprised to see the Vikings not even try to keep him honestly. He is 30 and there are going to be younger options available at some point to spell AD, whether through the draft or free agency.
I wish him luck ... but I think Minnesota is the best place for him, especially if we express interest in keeping him.

Sometimes one has to sacrifice number to get the ultimate prize.Vikings are his best chance to win a Super Bowl. He would be stupid to leave if that is his goal.
Look at KG, his numbers suffered and he really, by numbers, is not an NBA stud anymore (good numbers, but not elite).
As a Twolve, he was a 20 pts- 10 reb- 5 asst guy.
He was mentioned with Oscar Robinson and maybe Karl Malone as having the most season with those numbers.
Now his stats are AVG.
He is willing to let guys like Gooden pass him as being the Face/Star of the NBA.
As a Celtic, his number dropped, but he got his ring and he has the comfort of Pierce, Allen, Rondo, Wallace and others to get wins and contend.
CT can stay and have a better chance at a ring than leaving.
Unless he gets a chance to go to another possible contender.
The Skins are a few years off and CT isn't that young for a RB.

I imagine Taylor will be fielding offers as soon as possible, whereas Favre will be sitting on the fence till???
Without Favre the chance of winning the SB goes down considerably.
Thus, if CT is smart he would take the money, just like Birk did, but I think he should look at a better team than the Redskins.
Colts need a run game if Brown doesn't work out, so I would think there would be a good choice plus a chance to win the SB.
