Re: The Chester Taylor Mystery.....
Chester is not a concern in my eyes. I remember there being article about him being happy with the 2 running back thing. Also from what Singer says Chester always misses OTAs.

1. Not worried what no ever
As I think of the possible drama the Vikings face this season, it worries me most that Chester wants out of the purple uniform.
I know that mostly every team in the league has veteran holdouts but AD and the other teamates probably question his motives.
I believe that Chester is a huge insurance policy for AD but I also think we need him for that third down back. So I bring the question to you PPO'ers..... Do you think in your gut feeling that Chester will concede and except his role as a non-starter and hope he just wants the Superbowl ring? Or does he feel like he wants the starting job someplace else and feels no loyalty to the team who sat him? I mean if you signed that deal, would you hold out if you were him?
I would also ask what you feel is a bigger "POTENTIAL" problem for the Vikings:
1. Chester Taylor's hold out?
2. Matt Birk's holdout?
3. BMac's trial in Florida, possible season suspension?
4. Brad Childress just not being a good coach?
5. Jarred Allen's potential alcohol mishaps? (I hope he hires a driver!)
PS..... Im not including the TJACK's performance as an option for biggest problem. We all know that his role counts most but Im not counting that as a problem right now
2. I DOUBT he will hold out, he is a better guy than that
3. Id give his suspension 4 games at most, but i think he will get a 2 game suspension, just like JA last year
4. Worries me the most, but i have faith in him
5. Not worried either, he just got a huge contract, and im sure he doesnt wanna mess up his fresh start

Re: The Chester Taylor Mystery.....
lol why would an essentially backup RB hold out? He's getting fair starter cash to split the load

Re: The Chester Taylor Mystery.....
I don't remember hearing anything on CT having an issue with sharing time with AD.
So I don't think it's an issue.
BMac most likely will face something, and deserve it.
It will hurt some but you never know if someone will step up.
Be great if the guy can pass block speed rushers.
Birk won't hold out, period.
If JA falls off the wagon, it will be the biggest blow to the team.
Vikes have been down the "I've reformed" road before with players.
Let's just hope that coming to MN is a truly a fresh start.
BTW, the big bucks he's getting won't stop an alcoholic that wants a drink.
Finally, I think Chilly is the biggest risk.
Although I think he now has the personnel and has had the time to educate the team on his system (Cover 2, WCO, zone blocking) to make things happen this year.
Plus, he has the same D coordinator as last year.

Re: The Chester Taylor Mystery.....
Ya I dont see much issue here. Its not like Taylor is riding the pine. He did have a pretty good year I think somewhere around 800 yards. He is still getting alot of carries a game. A problem could arise if he was consistently getting the ball maybe once a game.
Until that happens I dont see any problems

JT is excellent, but also 33 getting $16.5 mill.
I also don't like malcontents that are forcing a trade.
I think CT is very important to the offense, need that 1-2 punch.
Keep fresh legs in the game and throughout the season.
Pass blocking ability and leadership.
Insurance policy too.
Plain and simple the Vikes are NOT a passing team, they need their RB's.

We'd have two of the best DE's in the league... plus, we can use Hicks a little more, who I think is a pretty good RB himself. Anyways, it's all just speculation right now.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

NOT gonna happen...the Raiders are more than set already at RB with DMC and Little Huggy Bear...but trading him for Jason Taylor might be feasible.Maybe Chester just didn't want to come to vol workouts?
I say trade him for Micheal Bush and Micheal Huff.
I'm drooling over M. Bush. He is Jamal Lewis in his prime but faster!
Imagine THAT!
Damn that leg injury.
