Is Taylor getting tired?
Chester Taylor, his teammates and his coaches insist he isn't running low on fuel after 10 games, but his diminishing rushing totals tell another story.

I'm not sure that Chester's actually getting tired. i think maybe we're becoming a bit predictable.
I'd like to see Talor and Moore used in a one-two punch, to vary the running offense a bit.
Re: Is Chester Taylor getting tired?
Minus the two fumbles last week, I was impressed with Chester's play enough to think to myself at one point during the game "maybe I should pick up a Chester Taylor jersey". And then, came the two turnovers and that thought was quickly dashed. But personally, I don't think he's running out of gas (yet at least). He looked impressive before those fumbles. With improved O-line play and a better passing game, his play is only going to get better (as long as he holds on to the ball). So I think he will only improve over the long run as a Viking. I look forward to a long fruitfull career by Taylor.
Re: Is Chester Taylor getting tired?
Yeah, Chester is obviously horrible.
There is nothing worse than having an RB that is 6th in yds rushing in the NFL.
He is obviously tired.

6th
:o That's just awful.
Re: Is Chester Taylor getting tired?
The reason Chestor's numbers are low is because he is the only offense we have!
I would like to see Moore get a few more rushing touches (not just on screens and draws). I have all the confidence in Chestor but am not crazy about abusing him each game when we have a proven backup RB with some "explosion". Memo is at the top of his game now and can spark something if given a few more touches.

I was being sarcastic about C.Taylor.
He ranks #6 in the NFL for yds, i would't exactly call that slouching.
It is fun to see MeMo perform.
I like to throw this stat out there just to get the BJ-haters blood boiling:
Week 11:
Rushing
BJ: 19 yds
MeMo: 14 yds
;D, doesn't mean anything, but it still cracks me up.

Don't start throwing stats out there or they will want MeMo or Longwell at QB. They both have passer ratings of 158.3 while Brad is at 73.4.
Re: Is Chester Taylor getting tired?
Take out the seattle game (or just that run) & have his numbers really changed at all?
Re: Is Chester Taylor getting tired?
His numbers are diminishing partly because the opposing defenses are figuring out our offensive game plan. Run, run, throw short pass on 3rd and long and hope for YAC. Its easy to stop after 100th time we attempt it.
