I voted they should split time 50-50. I wish AP would start this sunday because im not sure if CT can come healthy 100%, But after the by week I wish they can split 50-50 because CT is underrated and once he show people what he can do best then they will know AP is not the only person to contain on our offense

I think they should split time, but I don't know about 50-50.
I think AD needs to be on the field as much as possible, but Chester is good enough that he deserves touches.
Maybe a 50-30, with 20% of the time they are both in there as double HBs.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

How fortunant are we to even have to discuss this? CT is a slasher, with power, and AD is all that with speed.... It's a dilema 31 other teams wish they had. When CT gets back he'll start, bet AD will get his reps and this will keep both fresh into the late season.

Remember how AD would lay on the ground for a few seconds towards the end of the KC game?
Scared the bezeeeezus out of me everytime he did it.

They gotta split the carries or it will wear them down.

I definitely think AD should start...he's looked great thus far doing it. Anyways, as the old saying goes, it doesn't matter who starts because they're both going to get equal carries anyways.

And yes duv, I noticed that too. AP goes 110% on every play....I love it but he might have to learn to tone his energy down a little sometimes (especially on obvious busted plays).
Because I'm a Vikings fan, they are that much sexier.

I think it should be more like 65/35. Make Taylor, the lesser talent, the change of pace guy.

I think using AD right now as the change of pace is the best call right now. We were supposed to break AD in slowly remember? CT proved he is durable enough, so I say give him around 20 carries a game, with AD getting about 15.

Of course, CT is coming back from injury, so we may try to work him in slowly, giving AD more of the load.

AD will be better than Taylor, but I am still not convinced that he is better right now. AD will always need a spell back, and Taylor is a great one.

I hate the idea of two HB sets. Richardson is the man! We have struggled without him, and I don't see a reason to take him out of the game intentionally. He is more valuable as a blocker than CT/AD is as a decoy.

While Peterson’s career is less than a month old, he’s already made a lot of believers. He is as electrifying runner as the Vikings have had in decades, with the speed of Robert Smith and considerably more toughness. Taylor is a quality player, but under almost any circumstances, most outside observers would say that if the Vikings have two No. 1 running backs, Taylor is clearly 1B and Peterson is 1A.
I must agree, he is electrifying.
I also think that we have two no.1 backs.
I didn't understand why we drafted him when we already had a no.1 back.
I thought we would draft position of need, not best talent.
But AD is an impact player and I can see why now.

I said it before and I got some resistance on the idea. We start Taylor, it says that we believe in him as a back (or we are nuts) enough to start him over the rook.
It improves his trade value, there I said it again, don't stone me.

CT gives our QB the best chance to succeed with protection and ability to run.
Atleast this is what I am interpreting from our coaching staff.
Heck they put Moore in on the crucial downs at the end of the game and the reasoning was that Moore has seen more of the NFL.

The other reason for the CT start would be to wear the opponent down with the run and then bring in the fresh AD in the late 3rd and 4th quarters to run around or through them.
This way we put a more of the pressure and pounding on CT.
I think that Chilly may have come to this conclusion in the offseason that this was going to be a growing season without too much expectation and CT would take the pounding.
