While most Minnesota Vikings fans may have forgotten December 31, 2006, it will always stick out for Charles Gordon. For Gordon, a former KU football multi-position standout, the last day of 2006 was the day his childhood dream came full circle, starting in an NFL game....

Re: Charles Gordon makes Viking-sized return
Very nice read my friend.
Thanks.
Most of you know I really like this kid.
I think he is gonna turn out to be one of the rare finds that slipped through the cracks for most teams.
I wonder how high the Vikes had him on thier board and how it all went down as they watched round after round go with no team taking him..........
Chew on that one for awhile.“They were veteran receivers, so they used their tricks on me, but I learned from it and it made me a better player,†Gordon said.
I don't care how talented rookies are.
A vet can get the better of them.
The good ones learn from what it though.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Charles Gordon makes Viking-sized return
Good read indeed, thanks.
I'm a 'Huskers fan, raised in Nebraska and haven't missed very many games over my now, 46 years.
The 'Husk used to beat Kansas like a drum, kinda like Iowa State
;D.
That's the quick backdrop.
Gordon was one of the few players that stood out on KU in the games I remember.
Was pleased the Vikes brought him in and can't be happier to see a kid that works hard be rewarded.
He's the kind of player teams need, in fact, I think Gordon is very close to being referred to as one of those "overachievers" discussed in a thread this week.
Love the kid, and hope he stays in the mix!
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

I also like Gordon. I don't understand why some mock drafts on other sites have us picking a CB in the first round. Like QB and WR, that is not going to happen.

I was against it, thinking CT could carry the load...

i would think it is because the makers of those mocks might have seen how many yards our cbs gave up and believe it isa need as some posters on here think.I also like Gordon. truth be told when we get more consistent pass rush from our de our cb's will look better but they will still give up yards because of scheme.
in short.....they are yutzs ;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

A better pass rush would help in some cases, but we've been ripped apart by short quick passes for 5-10 yards where there isn't enough time to get to the QB."marstc09" wrote:

Just go back & take a look at the Vikings Patriots game of 2007. That's a prime example.
