In a sense it will be like having 2 first round 7th overal picks this year.
I love the fact he's coming back.
Just adds more skill on the Defensive side of the ball.
I truly feel like this year the vikes will have some growing pains but within the next few they will be right in the hunt again after some maturity and experience has set in for so many of our young guys.
not even do you have greenway coming back, we have james coming back to and with the addition to AP its like having 3first rounders who we didnt have last year... im very excited to see em play!
    I hear ya.
Our D took a big hit last year with our two most recent first round draft picks going down for the season.
And we still ranked 3rd overall on D!
I am excited to see what we can do this year, with both of them back in.
And then adding AD and Rice to our offense...

DAMN I'm pumped for this year already...

Yeah I cant wait to see what this D will do I wanna see them keep that #1 against the run, and turn that pass Defense that was in the basement. I have been looking of the return of Greenway. but I am sure not as much as he has wanted to return himself.

There was a really good article last season about him sitting in his suite watching the game, and how much it was killing him not to be on the field.
I think he will be explosive this year because of all of that pent up frustration.

I'm sure you have all noticed that the Vikes will have two South Dakota natives starting at LB.
I am quite optimistic about our defense this year.
EJ, and the pass rush are the two biggest wildcards in my mind.

He should bring allot more to the table for the Vikes....his athleticism will help our pass defense. Hopefully his knee won't effect his career. I am excited he going to be able to play, we will finally be able to see a couple of Childress's first rounders play.

We will hopefully not have any of our key guys injured this year in the preseasn :

    Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!

I know that I read somewhere that Chilly wanted him there, but he was NOT eligible!
I have no doubts that Greenway would have been there running around if at all possible, he wants it SO bad!

Good point on James and Greenway returning...should be a huge plus to our Defense...But, knees aren't always full speed after only year 1 of recovery...we can only hope!!

I've seen this no.3 defense quote twice now and don't know who, how, or when it was dreamt up, but I am pretty darn sure there is NO truth to it...according to nfl.com, we came it 8th overall, last vs. pass, and first vs. run.
In fact, I am certain that several Defensive players have cited reaching the top five as next year's goal!!

Our defense should be improved next year.
The loss of Tomlin will be difficult to overcome though.
If we can step up our pass D, I'd be willing to sacrifice some run D.
Our pass D was painful to watch at times.
The offensive struggles switched focus though and it never became as big of a concern as it probably should have been.
I think this year will be different.

I am a bit concerned with our loss of N. Harris and Mike Tomlin, but I'm confident that Greenway and Frazier can at least perform as well.

It's funny how this works. Before last season anyone would probably have taken some shit for saying that they were glad for or confident that we had Napo on the team.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

That kinda proves the point I had in the "why I think we win 11 games this year" thread. You just never know what a new year may bring. I still like to waste my time trying to do some predicting though

Just think...maybe Marcus Johnson will be crazy good and not have any penalties on him and Udeze will lead the league in sacks this year

    Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!
