Lots of talk, lets hope it translates to the football field, I've seen good games and good moments out of Ced but I havn't been too impressed this season. I guess some positives would include him being a very good tackler and keeping the play in front of him. In the Colts game he nearly gave up two long TD's and same goes for last week if Kerry Collins hits Justin Gage down the sideline. We need him big on Monday Night, but we need that pass rush even more.

I dunno..
He still reminds me too much of Smoot.
Makes me wonder how much of this is the system and not the talent.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

Confident about what? ...getting beat again?

Re: Cedric Griffin Still Confident
I think we will all be happier when the confidence is replaced with competence.

Re: Cedric Griffin Still Confident
We can't let QB's find a rhtym, we must get a big rush from that front four. Neither AW, or Cedric are shutdown corners, they play in a scheme that require's them to keep the play in front of them and make tackle's. Grffin is picked on because Winny is pretty close to a shutdown CB. Cedric will get better as the season goes on just watch cause when the defense starts firing on all cyclinders thats when we'll see the "Grif" making some plays.

Re: Cedric Griffin Still Confident
Griffin needs to establish himself out there.
All last week I watched him getting turned around and playing tentative.
He appears to be so afraid of getting beat that he's......getting beat.
Much like Smoot versus Carolina.
A few chucks off the line, a couple of nice bell-ringers, and a more aggressive posture would - in my opinion - go a long way towards defining Cedric and allowing him to succeed.
He needs to quit trying to be "smart" and start getting MEAN.

I'm confident too... that he sucks.
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

But I don't think that's the system they want to run.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

Re: Cedric Griffin Still Confident
Key point is they said we need that pass rush even more
It would help Cedric greatly if we had some
They have all day to find the holes in the zone
