Catching up with Garrett Mills
http://www.tulsaworld.com/sports/article.aspx?articleID=20080110_2_B3_pstxc20687
Former Tulsa star Garrett Mills was an honorary team captain during the Golden Hurricane's 63-7 blowout victory over Bowling Green in last Sunday's GMAC Bowl.
Mills, a Minnesota Vikings tight end and Jenks native, just completed his second season in the NFL. He saw his first game action of his pro career one week earlier, and caught two passes for 26 yards.
Shortly before Sunday's kickoff, Mills discussed his pro career, being picked off waivers by the Vikings and rooting for Tulsa.
You've been inactive during much of your career with the Patriots and the Vikings. Was it nice having your first game action in the final week of the season?
"It was something that I've been preparing for. To finish my second year off with the chance to suit up and get in the game a little bit with a couple of catches really gives me a lot of momentum going into next year..."Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

At least he appears to have the ability to get open and make a catch.
Something many of our other receivers seemed to struggle with at times.

Re: Catching up with Garrett Mills
The guy makes two very easy catches on sideline routes and suddenly he's the best thing to come to the Vikes. Get real!

He used his hands and he got his body in position to catch and then had quick feet to get his body around and run down field.
He has agility that straight liners don't.
When I think of Kleinesasser the guy will run though a wall to catch the ball mostly because he goes where his momentum takes him.
Shanc can run a straight line route and he can jump.
Neither of them was able to impress me like Mills did in only two reception in the last game of the season.
With that said, there are many other factors for someone to fail or succeed in the NFL.
But, in only two receptions, he looked awfully talented.
The next coming of Steve Jordan.
?? LOL who knows.
I understand the disdain of the crowning of someone that hasn't proven themselves for more than a few games or even a whole season but 2 games is all we got to make a judgment.

I agree with you Cojo to a certain extent
Too early to tell if he will be anything.. But in college he was great..
In the pros so far he's had two balls thrown his way.. And two catches
They were easy, but he looked fluid and catchinig the ball looked easy
