Catch LeFevour! QB To Watch in 2008-09

I was going to title this thread "Alternate Plan for Booty," but I didn't want to call my sexuality into question.
Marr got me in the mood to start lookin' at some 2009 draft stuff already.
I'm not going to go too crazy since the season hasn't even started yet, but I wanted to call one player to everybody's attention...

    Dan LeFevour from Central Michigan

Note: I am not suggesting that TJack will fail this season and that I expect LeFevour to supplant TJ as the starter next season.
I'm saying that this guy would be a huge upgrade over "Baby Hands" Booty who is supposed to be smart with the football but has like 50 turnovers in 3 preseason games.

I have been watching Dan LeFevour as much as possible from his Freshman year through last season.
The man simply wills his team to victory.
He has a better arm than Booty and is way more mobile than Booty.
LeFevour joined Vince Young as the second player to run for 1,000 yards and pass for 3,000 yards in a single season.
Check out some of his stats:

I'm no expert (I just play one on PP.O), but I believe this young man is the next great MAC QB.
He has the size, strength, brains, and demeanor required to play in the NFL.
Not to turn this into a Booty hate-fest, but I don't think Booty is the answer to any of our needs, as a backup or potential starter.
LeFevour will likely come out in next years draft and be a day one, possibly first round pick depending on the season he has.
Some experts have him competing for the Heisman, and why not?
He almost had the same stats Tebow had last year: 19 rushing TDs and 27 passing TDs to Tebow's 23 and 32.

I couldn't find a video showing his best highlights, but here is an interview he did on ESPN that has some game footage on it, admittedly not all his best looking stuff.
Keep an eye on this kid.
CMU plays Georgia on September 6th, so you should be able to see how he does against some tough competition.
I'll take bets on whether or not he outperforms Colt Brennan's lousy outing against Georgia last year.

Besides, this kid can avoid a pass rush.

    Thoughts??

Too late, I'm past thinking about the 2009 draft and am concentrating on the 2011 draft.

I'm all for players from the MAC... although, let's see how good his season goes first.

    Of course.
We obviously wouldn't want to draft a guy that may show character flaws and may have a part of his game exposed this year.
I'm just saying to keep an eye on him.

LeFevour has broken all of CMU's passing records in just two seasons, but I want to see him play against Georgia this season.
He has a decent back and one or two good receivers.
His O-line isn't the greatest, but Joe Staley played there a couple years ago before going to SF, so maybe a couple of their guys are developing.

Any good prospects coming up in '11?
I'm thinking we need to sign up Zeus' kid in the 2022 NFL Draft.
