I'de love to see Cassel, break out and play like he did for the Patriots, the year he started for them.....How soon some forget......Ponder will be looking over his shoulder now.

Ponder should have been looking over his shoulder with Webb.

Minnesota gave former Chiefs QB Matt Cassel a one-year, $4 million deal.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Given Ponder has more turnovers than that in his 26 starts, I guess Cassel could teach him how to not turn the ball over too much.
    Lol nice.

Very smart guy, can avoid turnovers, can REALLY throw a nice deep ball.
    Good feedback. Welcome.

Get you a big strong QB like Matt who can thread a needle.
Getting me excited. I could see him hitting Jennings often.

Yeah I think this is a pretty solid signing. It should push ponder a bit, but it shouldn't really scare him. And if he gets a bruised elbow/bicep week 17, I'll be a little more confident to have Cassel start.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

My only thought is why Cassell as opposed to Fitz or Campbell.
Seems like they were purposely waiting for Cassell to get cut and snatched him up.
I guess I don't see a great difference between him and others but they surely did.

I belive it's because Cassel is much better a player than what people could see in KC. I think with the right support around him and som solid WR's, we will all see just how good he can really play. I'm going on a lim and saying he can easily outplay Ponder if given the chance and reps at practice's and camps. He will already have the RB's, Oline and TE's to help him get there, just need to shore up with some solid WR play now....I personaly think this offense is oh so close to breaking out...
