The "casper" rule
Today i was watching the Jets v. dolphins game and a play occurred that was reminiscent of the LJ smith fumbles to Freddy Mitchell in the NFC divisional play off last year. The jets were on the goal line and handed it off to Curtis Martin who pushed foward, but lost control of the ball. The ball was pushed foward by a dolphin and caught in the end zone by another Jet. The sideline judges signaled touchdown, but the head ref ruled that if the ball is fumbled it cannot be advanced by anyone other than the player who fumbled it, and the touchdown was nullified. If this is true how come Freddy Mitchell was allowed to catch a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown against us, and have it count.
P.S.: the anouncers called it the casper rule, because a player named casper did it a while ago.

Re: The "casper" rule
Maybe it is a new rule for this year. If it isn't, than that is complete bullshit that they let the eagles get away with it in the playoffs against us.
