The Vikings racked up 605 yards of offense Sunday night against the Saints. That is the second highest total in team history, behind 622 to the Baltimore Colts in a 1969 game.

This is really shaping up to be a huge year:
-The Vikings are on track to gain 7625.6 Yards this season. The record is 7075 by the Rams in 2000.
-The record for first downs in a season is 387, by Miami in 1984. We're on track for 410.
-San Francisco set the record for Completions in 1995, with 432. We're on track for 435.
-The record for passing yards is 5232, again by the 2000 Rams. The Vikes are on track for 5651.

There's still a lot of games left in this season, but to be on track to break 4 offensive team records is pretty amazing. Plus, there may be more that I didn't find. This was just a check of some of the records at http://www.nfl.com/history/randf.

I will agree with that! That super Bowl Record is the only one that matters. 1-4 sounds so much better than 0-4. wouldn't you agree?

Yep thats the most important factor that matters this season. Now if only our defense can play consistent d week in and out.

All of these offensive records are just spice compared to winning it all. Yes I would be happy with some records, we still have the most points in a season (I believe), but we need a title!!!
