Well we sure haven't faced a passing juggernaught such as this team (Peyton was hurting, Houston was without Schaub) but we have done nicely in the pass defense area of late.Quote:
Maybe you're not giving the Vikings defense enough credit. The defense hasn't given up more than 19 points in any of the last six games.
I for one would like to see them go 3 or 4 wide.
That sure would take some of Warners protection away now wouldn't it?
;D
yes, yes it would, and it would allow for our experience nicked and dimebacks with sapp and mccauley to lock down their slot recievers, since we already have fantastic coverage on the outside... o wait.
we beat the Saints... the best passing team in the league. We are 3-1 against top ten passing attacks... case and point these threads are getting old

They're articles relating to the upcoming game, and therefore relevant.
we have fifty threads about this topic already, why do we need more of them? We need a thread about the godly Arizona offense, and to merge all the relevant topics.
if you look back this year peyton we had in check most of the game, houston we did a pretty good job, rogders the second time around we did good against and delhomme so all and all our pass defense has improved i believe and i have this gut feeling that we are gonna make a run this week. But its just a gut feeling that doesnt mean much but this is how i see it, last couple of years when we had were close to making the playoffs we controled our own destiny and we were kinda expected to win, this year we control our own destiny, but we arnt favored to win, i think when we face adversity we respond pretty well, and the way i see it t jack has nothing to lose hes already loss his job once so hell be takin his chances down the field if he gets a chnce

Myself I expect 5 wide with quick slants, ala NE.Quote:

Or 4 wide and the RB gets a screen when Vikes get too agressive.
If the Cards have less than 3 WR's out there I'll be shocked.
Vikes are not that deep in the secondary.
JA might be gimpy.
Edwards has only 3 sacks, behind last years pace, even with all the attention going elsewhere.
My hope is K&P can push the pocket, preventing Kurt from stepping up.
Against most teams the Cards only run 15ish times, against the Vikes it will be 10ish, some being draws.
I'm not trying to rain on the hopes, but this is going to be a battle of game plans.
How do the Vikes stop a high flying passing game vs.
How do the Cards stop AD and what will TJ bring?
IMO, this is a big test for Chilly as far as gameplanning.
Nickle - Dime or blitz?
Jam at the line?
Winfield needs to pull a rabbit and get another corner blitz-sack-fumble-TD early in the game.
