Can we get Edge??????

The St. Paul Pioneer Press believes it'll be interesting to see if the Vikings trade Michael Bennett and/or Brian Williams for Travis Henry or Edgerrin James. ... Safety Corey Chavous and cornerback Williams continue to be no-shows during a four-day developmental camp. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Mike Tice isn't sure whether the two, who are unhappy with their contracts, will show up to similar camps next month.

I really hope so! Getting the Edge would make this like, the best offseason in history! Ship out Brian Williams I say, the colts need some help at secondary. I guess that the colts wouldn't do it unless they get one more good player, so I suppose it has to be Bennet. Keep Chavous, he is a crucial piece of this puzzle. The Edge trade would be oh so sweet exept for one thing...
what would Edge cost us? what is his salary right now? if someone knows please post.

That sure would look good on paper, but he probally cost too much.

I kind of like the thought and I think we can afford it without hurting the cap too much ... but I still do not see it happening.

Edge is franchised, so I'm sure he is in the 7-8 million range next season, unless we would negotiate a long term deal as part of the trade, but I don't see this happening, but I hope I'm wrong.

Edge ain't happening...he wants way too much money...his contract would eat up all of the future cap room that we gained when you know who was traded...the new ownership ain't gonna let that happen.
