Re: Can Tarvaris Jackson take this team to the next level?

JDB is definatly not the answer if TJ doesn't pan out. He was very inconsistant in his decision making at USC, has a very weak arm, and he struggles with accuracy at times. He has virtually no downside in terms of being a decent option, but he really has no great upsides either. TJack is more of a gamble, but has a lot more potential than JDB

That is not what the experts are saying. It actually is the complete opposite. You don't win 2 Rose Bowl by being bad at those two points.

the rosebowl is a joke... when you play at home every year your going to win more games then you lose

if he was such a great pick why did he fall to the 5th round? There really aren't any great QB's in this draft, or next years draft really for that matter. Booty will be another Brad Johnson at best. Everyone on this forum has proclaimed him the savior of our offense and I don't see it. He's not half the QB his predecessors at USC were, and we don't have half the recieving core they have in either Cinci or Arizona. Booty won't be a great player, he'll be an average QB at best.

Jaws did a breakdown using film and pointed out that Booty can make all the throws and his strength was in being able to make good decisions and find the open man. They then interviewed Chilly who said he liked Booty because he got to see him actually make the same throws he would need to make in the WC for the Vikes in game situations. Obviously he thought Booty did a good job making those throws.
