Our play calling is unimaginative and predictable.
The question is, is it that way because of the coaching or is it that way because that is all that TJ can handle?
One or the other of these things needs to be fixed now or we are going nowhere fast regardless of how well the Defense plays or how well Adrian Peterson runs.
How many runs up the middle got stuffed yesterday simply because everyone knew exactly what was coming?
Six yrds passing in the first half?
    Please...

Is it because TJ telegraphs the plays or is it because the design of the plays is not creative enough to fool anyone?
I believe its one or the other.
Its just hard to tell watching the game.
Which ever it is we need it fixed now.....this week.
I am so tired of watching this team with all this talent struggle to win games.

We need to git er done now!!
It seemed like TJ showed in the second half that he can handle a bit more variety in the passing game. I think the coaches played it conservative in the first half due to TJ's injury. Once TJ showed that he could handle the hits, and once the coaches realized that conservative wasn't going to cut it in this game, they opened up the playbook in the second half. If the Vikings played both halves with the same playbook, that would have been a very different game last night.
    I couldn't agree more.

Some yutz was on here a few days ago proposing that we run this scheme and some people didn't think it would work.
If memory serves, that set was sure fun to watch for at least a few plays last night.

I wanna see this offensive package at least 2 or 3 times on Monday night....

Seemed to me that GB had the quick outs beating our pass rush...Rodgers didn't hang on to the ball long.
    Hitting Quick short slants etc.
Exactly what we needed, but didn't see.
I hope we've got a better gameplan next week and TJack is more ready to execute it.

Re: Can Tarvaris Jackson take this team to the next level?

Monday's game went exactly how I predicted it would go.
I predicted it when they drafted him.
When it comes down to the man to deliver, he will not.
    Too much inconsistencies.
But some how, in usual Vikes fashion, we will win enough games purely on defense and Adrian Peterson that we will screw up our draft.
It is really hard for me to be to excited when I know we STILL need a good QB.
That is the missing link and it is sad they are banking on a QB that will be a decent backup at best.

Believe me, I bleed purple and always have.
I wait all year to watch the Vikes.
Then when several free agent QBs are available I get even more excited.
    Then the Vikes do nothing.
Sad thing is, AP may not be here
in a few years and we know the defense is going to lose some guys. Even if TJ is decent in a few years, it may be too late again.
    Oh well.
    What do you do.

Now go ahead and start slamming me all you TJ fans.
    I can take it.

I won't slam you my friend.
That kindof shit happens on other sites.
On this site we just discuss issues/points and sometimes boobies.

    Couple of quick questions though......

Monday's game went exactly how I predicted it would go.
What thread lays out your projection?
I must have missed that part were you said that our DL with 3 probowlers wouldn't even get a sniff of Rodgers jockstrap.

Then when several free agent QBs are available I get even more excited.
    Then the Vikes do nothing
What FA QB's came available that got you excited?

Sad thing is, AP may not be here

Already with the gloom and doom.
What indication do you have that he won't resign a contract extension with this team?
I usually over analyze things but I haven't quite got that far into it.

    I chose 8-8 no Playoffs.
Because i dont think Jackson is the quarterback that can get us past the big games that will be needed.
This is year 3 and he did not show me anything different last night then what I saw 2 years ago on the same field.

But i do truly believe the TEAM can take Jackson to the superbowl.

No...he can't take us to the next level.....If you tell a QB to "just manage the game", then even the team doesn't trust him.

TJ isnt even average now after 3 years. Rogers in his first start looks far more mature then TJ. Can TJ even read D's yet?

    Yes he can

I see him improve much more after 20 or so starts and time with his new WRs

Now I'm not saying this to make excuses, but Rodgers was a first round DI pick, but more importantly he learned under one of the best QBs in the games history (much as it pains me to say that, it is true). Tjack has had Brad Johnson, Brooks Bollinger, Kelly Holcomb, and Gus Frerotte.
    WE CAN BUILD ON THIS!!!

    In AP I trust
