Re: Campbell Charged
OH NOES, he smoked some pot, ARMAGEDDON IS HERE!
People need to get over the roll model bullcrap. Players are just like everyone else, period. If some musician smokes pot it's ok, but GOD FORBID a sports player does it in offseason. Here's a newsflash: he's just a young male, just like millions around you. Being in NFL doesnt make him any different.
Stolen gun part is pretty lame though, I hope he avoids jail.

Re: Campbell Charged
Sure millions do it.
But wait......
Oh ya it is a crime.
Or does the fact that "millions do it" make it not count as a crime?
Or maybe this is a cafeteria style law abiding country?
Pick this one but not that one.
Kelly is a criminal if he did smoke dope and so is anyone else who smokes dope.
Because that is the law.
Maybe change the law(which just may happen)
And then we'll "get over it"
But until that day comes, the law says no to smokin' dope.

Re: Campbell Charged
I'm sure if you cry some more millions will stop smoking pot... oh wait, they wont. Bitching about how someone doesnt fit into a roll model type for your son to armire is beyond pathetic. Buy him some Superman comics, he doesnt smoke. Also, there are more "criminals" on Vikings roster who have been caught smoking marijuana. If it concerns you so much - move to Utah and cheer for Jazz.

Your logic escapes me. What does the amount of money you will never see in your lifetime have to do with anything? Does Campbell being rich mean that he owes you? Or anyone, for that matter? Or is smoking weed more of a crime if you are succesful, than if you were poor?Very good post, he made more money than I will see in my lifetime and I don't waste my time smoking any dope.

So he broke the rules. Lets give up on him because of that? Smoking weed in offseason does not make an unforgivable crime in my book. Do I need to remind you of a player who constantly broke the rules, yet was our brightest star for years? Who are you cheering for, a sports team, or a bunch of nice guys you'd love to invite for a dinner? It has nothing to do with being a role model, it has to do with being an adult. Re: Campbell Charged
Typical response.
Avoid the facts, blowoff laws and morals of society and do what you want.
And if someone doesn't like it make them move.
And that role model you keep bashing that "I wish for", well that goes for everybody not just Kelly.
But the selfish generation always confuses what are rights and what are responsibilities.
They want the "right " to do anything so long as they are ok with it.
And they themselves will decide what are their responsibilities.
And most certainly don't talk about how they fit into the role as a member of the overall society.
No one will tell them, for they are their own keeper.
Just like spoiled grade school children.
Your viewpoint is nothing new or enlightening.
Self centered, whatever float your boat types have been around forever.
And their ideaolgy if applied always results in a failed society.
Then left to responsible people to put it all back together again.
Only to hear these same "foward thinking" people begin to whine again about their rights and to leave them alone.

Just curious though, what responsibilities are you talking about? The responsibility of Kelly Campbell to be a role model for your son?

Re: Campbell Charged
Assuming you mean Cris Carter, please storm don't compare Campbell to him. Cris never carried around a stolen gun and he had more talent in one arm than Campbell has in his whole body.
