Thread: CALVIN JOHNSON!!!

I dont post often but my frustration is too much to keep in.
As tempting as it is..im not saying give up on the season... but i would love to see the vikings trade up and draft Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech. Think of it this way, the cardinals will likely have a top 3 pick if not the 1st. They are set at WR and QB so they dont need Quin or Calvin.... so i say get them to trade down and get more picks that they need. I think adding Calvin Johnson will immediately improve our team. You cant even compare him to any current NFL player... 6'5 245 lbs!!! runs a 4.45 and has great hands.....

ok, the Cardinals wont just hand us a choice pick.
What are we going to give them that they care about?
They can just pick at #3 anyone they want, there is no rules.
So, what will we do that will help them be a better team in order to get a shot at a guy in the draft who may be good?

One can allways dream of draftable players.

Even after the sorry display by the team today, I don't think we'll be within striking distance of 'Spiderman' Johnson come april.

Already been suggested in a few other threads. No doubt he would make us better, although I think he'll be gone when we pick, and we saw last year that Childress isn't eager to trade up.

I'd cry if we could somehow manage to get in a position to nab him. Like seriously just start bawling. And possibly got to the local church.

if we package picks and some players that we could do without....IF the cardinals have the number one pick and we have a top 15 pick we could swap firsts and give up a later round pick and players that they could benifit frm lik dwight smith(tank and greg blue)..darion scott(erasmus and ray will be there for us)...there are areas that next year due to players returning frm injuries that we may have players to give... lik smoot.... cedric may be ready by next year...just a thought..but i dunno calvin johnson....would help alot...

If we lose out(likely) we will be 4-12, and that should secure us a top 5 pick.

The teams that will most likely pick in front of us will be.
Arizona
Oakland
Cleveland
Detroit

The only one of those teams who need a WR is Cleveland and they took Braylon Edwards at #3 the same year we got Troy, Oakland has Porter and Moss, but they are potentially both gone after this year. Detroit has Roy Williams and others, Arizona has Fitzgerald and Boldin.

This is all my predictions, so it could be wrong(unlikely) so take it as you will.
