Re: Bye Week
Benching culpepper is not the answer, it will only hurt us. If he comes out and stinks after the bye, then ok, let him take time to himself and get his Ish straight.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

BYE can't get here any sooner!
I am so thankful that we have a BYE coming up this week. It should be spent healing mentally and physically. The year does not get any easier, especially when you start out this way. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to actually be on the field with this happening.
To be honest, we look like a young team. When we are all on the same page and getting after it we seem to do much better than when we look like we are just coasting through the game. Daunte looks like he still thinks that Birk is hiking him the ball and that the line will give him all day to sit back there and wait for the right moment. It's not that way and it is frustrating to watch. I can only imagine how he feels.
We can look at it this way, our players and playing within themselves...unfortunately they need to be trying to play beyond what they think they can do each and every game and I don't see that and the feeling does not translate through the set. I still think we are a better team in the true sense of the word, but that's not winning us many games...yet.
Keep in mind, it is only the 4th game and we have the week to regain some kind of continuity. Hopefully our guys will use the time to get together and work some things out to make the beastly offense we know we have come out. Right now, it looks like a tranquilizer is stuck in our neck and we can't get it out.
The finest point of the game was when we made it into the endzone. Sure, it was a little too little too late, but we kept at it and got in there. The last place the Falcons wanted us was the endzone and we finally got there. No better way to end a horrible game than to have some ray of light at the end.
Vikings players and Coaches: Use this BYE to your advantage. Take tomorrow and shake this thing off. make your adjustments, get our wounded healed and let's hit the ground running in two weeks. We have to get some positives going and we need them NOW! The purple faithful are behind you 100% and we want you to win for you as well as for us.
Until next time, I'll see you on the field!

It's about reading the D and reacting quickly. Daunte isn't doing that. He's just standing there like a statue.

Re: Bye Week
i hate losing going into a bye week. then you have to hear it from yours friends for an extra week.
we just need to get healthy. that is the problem and it seems to be every year. i dont know how other teams do it and i also dont know how some teams can get injuried and keep winning. hopefully there is a trade for something just to shake things up but it better not be just a trade to trade someone. We're bringing purple back.
