    Bye bye Camarillo..

Pioner Press:.. Vikings have informed Greg Camarillo that they won't be re-signing the veteran WR.

    This makes me happy.

Thank god. That was a waste of a roster spot. Liked his attitude and motor, but he didn't bring anything to the table.

Was really disappointed with his stay here. Thought he could be a very solid third or fourth option ... but he just never panned out.

Another bland receiver in a long list of bland receivers. Didn't really do much while he was here. Had much higher expectations.

His number were pretty interesting in 2008 and 2009 so it isn't about him being able to catch. Heck, how many articles did we read about how reliable his hands were when thrown to.

Nope, this guy, like others (What happened to Arcenaux this year) sure seemed to have dropped off the map when they got here. My guess, its the coaches and not the players. Rationale behind that guess, again, look at what they did before they got here, then look at what they did here.

He would have had to have been used to know if it was a waste of a roster spot. Not many option for him to get on the field when the current O-coord/HC seem to like to run 2-3 and 2-2 sets vice a 1-1 set every once in awhile.

Sure wasn't used much. I do remember some nice catches (when needed) late last year when they actually started to put more than 1 WR on the field.

well he was often touted as going to be the one to 'keep the chains moving ' and yet wasn't used often enough IMO. From what I saw he had good hands and was willing to be in traffic to make the plays, however he didn't seem to get his number called that often. Old story of you can't make plays if you're not going to have the ball thrown to you.
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

He was touted as such. Truth of the matter is, he was doing it before he got here. Not at the level of a Welker, but still doing it.

As I said earlier, he didn't have many catches (5 or so) but it sure seemed like everytime he caught one it was for a 1rst down when we needed it last year. Again, a cat like that needs alot more reps that what he had here.

Watch, he will land with another team and wind up doing fine, is my guess.
