Sid Hartman, of the Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress said RB Mewelde Moore will have to prove to him that he can stay healthy before he can count on the running back. "Moore is versatile, the question is whether he is durable," Childress said. "It's not about ability, as Bud Grant (former Vikings head coach) told me, it's not about ability, it's about durability. If you are going to show up for Game 1, not Game 2, Game 3, not Game 4."

That is exactly it. That's why he is not like a brian westbrook, yet. He needs to work hard, stay in shape, stregthen his weeknesses, and work his butt off. We know that with this coach, the best players at every position will start!

I'd be surprised if Childress actually likes getting advice from Bud. Childress seems to have his own opinions already on how to HC a football team.

I would think most people would be more than happy to listen to one of the greatest coaches ever. Childress may have his own agenda, but those who make it to the top and stay there, still usually take advice from those who have been there before, espeicaly when it's coming from an ex-coach who happens to be in the Hall of Fame....

Not saying Childress will do what Bud suggest, but I'll bet my last 2 cents, he listens and listens with open ears......
