Which "on the bubble" guys are standing out?

Which "on the bubble" guys stood out last night versus the Colts?

I could not see it on TV; but I noticed these:

    QB- J. Booty 4/7 23 3.3 0 0
( not much average yards per completion; but good% )

    RB-
    A. Young 14 58 4.1 0 11

    I. Johnson 9 50 5.6 0 16

    K. Bell 3 14 4.7 0 7

    WR-
    D. Reynaud 3 14 4.7 0 10

    TACKLES-

    TOT SACKS SOLO
    E. Henderson 5 0 4
    A. Allen 5 0 3
    J. Brinkley 4 0 3
    H. Farwell 4 0 3
    O. Grigsby 4 1 2
    E. Frampton 3 0 3
    D. Herron 3 0 2
    A. Holmes 2 1 2
    K. Paymah 2 0 2
    M. Burnett 2 1 1

WHO is getting the edge on Special Teams?

    What do you think?

I liked what I saw out of Ian Johnson. Unfortunately, with our backfield there is no room for another good RB. I'm hoping this kid can catch on someplace where he can really make an impact. He runs with authority and confidence and is not afraid to take a hit. The pass he dropped was not an easy pass to catch, thrown to his opposite side. He had a very good debut IMO

Did anybody "lay the wood" on a Colt to make their statement on Special Teams?

It looks like it could not be any closer for the early edge for the Kickoff Return guys:
    Minnesota Kick Returns

    NO YDS AVG LG
    J. Johnson

    1

    26

    26.0 26
    D. Reynaud 1

    26

    26.0 26

Also, among the backup LBs; Erin, Brinkley, and Herron all seemed to have a good game.

The backup RBs all averaged 4-5 YPC or so...pretty solid. Albert Young knows the Offense better, so he may have an edge; but I think long-term Ian Johnson is the better runner / athlete.

This thread had some good thoughts -
    http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/conversation?gameId=290814011

I think Sage averaged around 238 Passing YPG in the games he started last year...pretty good!

With the same good D-Coordinator the veteran boys just stepped right in where they left off. It should
make for a fun season if they stay healthy...that is also why I like to keep an eye on the backups.

Who do you like so far among the newer guys for depth?
