Brotherly Love Part of Wade’s Livelihood

    Interesting stuff...

Brotherly Love Part of Wade’s Livelihood[/size]

    April 14, 2008

Inside Washburn High School, at-risk kids from all seven Minneapolis public high schools are focused on the words of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Bobby Wade.

“My father straight up told me, ‘Your brother has been shot,’”

All the kids my age pee their pants, it's the coolest.

I hope Wade builds on the momentum he and TJack had going at the end of last season.
I think a lot of people on here devalue Wade, I know I did initially, but he is turning out to be a solid player for the Vikings.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

i think it was more that he was our number 1 guy last year, when he should have been in the slot

but in 08 i can see him having a great year

exactly, he's an ace in the slot, and seeing him on the field lined up with BB and Rice, with AD and Tapeh in the backfield -- look out league we just might have something.

Wade is a class act, I've known about some of his other charity work, but never knew this story... thanks for sharing it Billy Boy, very touching story

Thanks for the read my friend.

I was happy as shit last year when they signed this guy.

Now you add BB to the puzzle called the WR corp, with TJ's and Rice's anticipated improvement and I think Bwade will have a very productive year as he won't see so many bodies in the short passing lanes.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

You know this is the first I've heard of this story about his brother.
It's amazing what the NFL is able to do for people in regards to pulling there lives out of the gutter and being able to better themselves in there family members for many years to come.
It's guys like Bobby that make me bite my tongue about how well these players are paid.
It's hard to remember when we are constantly reminded of num-skulls like pacman, vick, etc.
It's nice to see somebody like Bobby doing good in the community and even if the trip to the school only affects 1 kid to the point he starts working harder at his dreams or backs away from the trouble makers it was a success all the way around.

    Great article.
I think it is a really good story to be sharing with kids too.

you know... if we sweep the Bears this year... they're just going to say that we only did so because we have two of their ex-receivers in Wade & Berrian
