All in all I thing we are witnessing the growing pains of a new staff, new players, and two new defensive systems.

We have loose ends on all positions at the moment. Getting them tied together is going to take time and patience.

I am kinda wishing that we still had an OC like Linehan here.. Darryl Bevell is not proven in my eyes.. Our offense has taken a hit this season even though we have new better players.. It all lays on the coaching, and something needs to be done soon, very soon..

    That's the big question.
You can always say someone is the leader but they really never take over as the real leader until it happens.
Like you said, it takes time and patience.
The average NFL fan has about as much patience as Bobby Knight when he has to thread a needle in less than 5 seconds.
I just don't buy into the whole Chicken Little bullshit that prevails in some people's minds.
Can you imagine what this site will look like if the Vikings lose to the Lions?
If that happens I think I'll take a break until after the bye week.

We should just have kept Steve Loney as our O-Line Coach.. He's a very good O-Line coach, and now with Denny Green in Arizona.. He didnt have the best of seasons last year, because of his double duties.. both O-Line coach and Offensive Coordinator..

    Re: Bring back Tice!

To expect so much from the first few games with an almost new team is really asking alot.
McKinnie is just finally finding himself, Hutch is new, Birk is back after a long layoff, Hicks is new and young guy at tackle.
Newish QB, new RB, FB and receivers.
    New coaches and offense.

I anticipate it only getting better as the year rolls on.
I actually am glad they are struggling now with hopes they finish strong. That is most important.
    Ask the Steelers!

I am very pleasantly surprise of how well the D is actually playing. Give some credit to the offense for not having alot of turnovers on a short field and actually having some extended drives. Although they didn't show it last SUnday.

I honestly thought the D would struggle the most this year.
    I'll take it though.

Most of the time I think a great leader is not one who does all the work, but actually manages, delagates authority and always assumes ultimate responsibility.
Childress, please delegate the offensive play calling and coaching to your coaches.
Manage them, lead them and let them do what you hired them to do.

    It will be ok.
