This is my point. Without a home run treat like Moss we are doomed to being a mediocre offense that must rely on its defense to win. With Moss back, we should be at the top of the league. Not struggling to just make the playoffs!!!!!!!
Relying on your defense to win has been successful for many teams. Tampa Bay and Baltimore won Super Bowls this way.

Before, we had a piss poor defense that could not hold the lead that the offense provided.

We do not need a "home run" threat. Most teams do not have this and they are fine. Just need a balanced offense with a good line.

I like the compliment of receivers we have today. We have several "go to guys" to keep the defense wondering.

If we had only one great receiver & the rest mediocre then we would be putting all our eggs in one basket.

As soon as that player went down with injury, the passing game goes to hell & we start losing games.

Okland isn't exactly dominating anyone with Moss healthy or injured.

Talent at the backup positions is also key.

Look at B-Will when he backed up Smoot, Johnson backing up C-Pep, Wiggie backing up Jimmy K last year, Mosely, Raonall Smith & Johnstone.

Now I'm not against having Moss back, but I'd rather have 5 good receivers, than 1 great one.

K-Rob & T-Will are both quite capable of "taking it to the house", Nate can make some great catches, M-Rob can get vertical & T-Tay has great hands.

The pathetic play of the offense is the DIRECT result of our trading of MOSS. Think about what we got for one of the games best receivers - a benched HARRIS and useless rookie WR.

It's time to get back MOSS (just like we got back Fran back in the 70's) for our 2nd round pick, HARRIS, & that useless rookie WR. Now Oakland will have money to go get OWENS.

With the improved defense, our offense will get back in gear for a run at it in 2006!

Oh ya, fire TICE too - he's had his chances and has done less with more than either GREEN or BURNS.
this is the worst post ever! moss is always hurt, harris is new in a new system, and williamson is not a waste he's a rookie. i can't believe webspace is being wasted on this post.
