Bring Back Cris Carter For the Playoff Run!

Cris Carter was awesome plain and simple. And he'll enter the HOF as a Viking. It would be interesting to see him back with us now that Daunte has emerged as a top QB.

But I don't think we really need him. I think we have finally found a good combination of receivers to compliment Moss.

He was great, but (watch this packers fans!) he is waaaaay past his prime and could not do anything for the team that Marcus and Burley couldn't do. Sometimes you jsut need to let them go.

Plus you would have to get into the whole salary thing, playing time for the recievers, disrupting chemestry and all of that stuff. It would be too much. I say don't bother.

Bring Back Cris Carter For the Playoff Run!

[quote="ultravikingfan"]I think he should stay retired, and not let his great career be marred by comebacks, ala Jordan! But, he was the best!!!

I love Cris Carter. He is my favorite Viking of all time.

But he already marred it by going to the Dolphins.

Bring him back as a WR coach. This is the new Vikes. He can get his ring as a honorary coach. If one of our 2 or 3 spot WR get hurt maybe. Our chemistry is great right now.

It was a nice thought though.

Why don't you bring back Fran, too?
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

    Welcome to the NFC North.

Bring Back Cris Carter For the Playoff Run!

I actually wanted the Vikes to bring Carter back at the beginning of the 2003 season.

Looking at the situation now, no way should the Vikings give even a moments thought to this idea. Carter was very unproductive in 2002 (largely due to injury/kidney problems) when he was with the Dolphins. He didn't play at all last season, getting no offers from anyone. So you think now, basically 2 1/2 years after he was last productive, he is going to come in and be looked at as any kind of receiving threat? I think not. Time to stop living in the past and look at the present (and future). If Robinson stays healthy, he will give opponents fits. Then, with both Moss and Robinson occupying the defense, Burleson and Campbell will get even more opportunities to shine.

Hi everyone. I know this probably isn't the right place to do this but this is my first post since joining two days ago. I'm 16 years old, living in Tucson, Az and I am happy to be in the company of fellow Viking fans. I think that if the Vikes get deep enough into the playoffs, they should sign Carter like Deion Sanders wanted to do a few years back. That way he can have one more shot a a ring (which we all know he deserves) and he won't have much time to hurt the team.
Welcome to the board...it looks like you are off to a great start, postingwise, so have good takes and don't suck...LOL.
