    Brett Favre's boyhood home destroyed.

    Favre's family home destroyed
    FOXSports.com

Green Bay QB Brett Favre spent most of the last two days nervously waiting to hear from family members in his hometown of Kiln, Miss., in the heart of the Gulf Coast area devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Favre's mother Bonita indicated the family home is destroyed and probably will have to be bulldozed, but the good news is that everyone in the family appears to be fine.

Glad to hear everyone is alright...as much as you despise the man, and we joke about his momma, its good to know that in real life things worked out.

Now you know he will try to dedicate this season to his momma, and unfortunately, he has not talent left to back up his meager claims.

His boyhood home was the one on the lower level...unfortunately for the glorious Viking fans on top floor, both houses didn't survive the flooding.

Favre should have known that a cardboard box wouldn't survive. Get's all wet and soggy...

OMG I just heard the anchor on CNN refer to Favre as "The Most Beloved Player in the NFL". I think I am going to be sick. ukeright:

Interesting I haven't seen a single Saints Player interviewed about losing their homes. Don't get me wrong I am glad that Favre's family are all ok and all but the media love fest for Favre is really unbelievable.

Not surprising, they drool at the mouth and sprinkle Favre with praise every chance they get. I'm sure this will give the likes of John Madden some more material to work with.

I just saw Favre on CNN,too. Around the time I was thinking his agent or someone should tap him on the shoulder, because the longer he answered questions, the higher the odds went that he would say something stupid.I think he then said the house 50 of his family and friends were staying in was 25 square feet with a tree on top of it.Wow.
I still have to begrudgingly give him some respect for trying to help stir up some more help for the victims of Katrina. More NFL players should help.We should all help.

That sucks for the Favre family.. It sucks that they have more stuff to add to Favre's "tragic" last 2-3 years.. We won't hear the end of these types of things!

FOX News once again shows its journalistic credibility by interviewing a Football Player for information about the worst natural disaster in recent history. What the hell is he on TV for? This is so beyond football its sad. They're interviewing him like he's a credible source of on the ground information. Glad his family is safe. But, really? An NFL Star? Sad crap.
