    Brett Conway our new kicker!!!!!

I think its for the same reason. There is so much pressure on a kicker/punter who is taken so high in a draft that they succumb to it. Kicking is 90% mental, anyway, and if a kicker loses it, they're done.

That was Faillings problem, he was a basket case.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

It's not like a kicker can go out and redeem himself by knocking someone's block off like most other positions.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

That, and it's my understanding that kickers typically don't have the same relationship with the rest of the position players that they might have with eachother. Okay, that sentance seems a bit confusing. what I'm trying to say is that kickers are typically shown as the loners on the team. If a reciever drops a ball, or a QB fumbles, his teammates are there to make sure he doesn't get too down on themselves. When a kicker misses a kick, he goes and sits down by himself on the bench, and gets to think about it. There doesn't ever seem to be anyone there to make sure the kicker has a short memory.

Well the good news is, no more elling, but the bad news is, conway isn't that accurate of a field goal kicker. Obviously we knew that if we got rid of elling, that we weren't gonna find a pro bowl kicker sitting around waiting for us to sign him, so this is about as good of a kicker as we could have hoped for. As long as he can make the 40 and in field goals(that includes extra points) and be around 50-60% beyond that, I am happy. Has he played for a team, that played in a dome? That might also help him out a little.

I do think Conway will be good for you. He has the capability to boom 'em.

Yeah, like someone already stated, every kick will be an adventure with Conway. He hasn't shown great accuracy in his 8 year career and has only played two full seasons.

No, they were all teams with outdoor stadiums.
