exactly V-Unit, you could argue it both ways...the ref could have not called it or could have called it, which he did.

That's what I thought too. Maybe the refs thought Smoot used the hand as leverage to get to the ball..., he did make the catch, but out of bounds.Honestly I watched the replay today of the call on smoot...He dosnt do anything put put his hand on his back...he dosnt shove or pull...It looked like he was bracing himself ....non the less we beat them...but I really think that that was questionable call.

Re: BREAKING NEWS----REFEREES FOR VIKINGS GAMES.................
Smoot did tug and in fact push Holt. Not much but definitely enough to warrant a flag. However K-Rob's wasn't called and should have been. If Smoot would have just braced himself that's one thing but he clearly grabbed, pushed, and pulled Holt. Again it wasn't much but he did in fact do it. Good call by the ref on that play. I agree that I didn't see it at first either and like all of you I was cussing the refs until I saw the replay. Replay proved it was a good call. Again, the only question I have is if Holt had a chance to catch the ball. If that was the case it should have only been a holding penalty whcih would have made the field goal a lot tougher.
Congrats to the D for 5 INTs and a fumble recovery (although we gave it right back). In the last 6 games we've averaged giving up only 15 1/2 PPG. That's right up there with the best in the league. We'll see how for real we are next week vs. Pitt. By the way, I leave for a cruise that day and come back on the 25th. I'll miss chatting with everyone for that week.

Re: BREAKING NEWS----REFEREES FOR VIKINGS GAMES.................
Complaining about referees should be left for the teams that are losing (and the Lions ... I mean how did they not get that safety?) ... all in all ... we get some calls that we don't deserve ... we get some calls called on us that we don't deserve ... and 90 percent of the time we get called for shit we do! Referees in the NFL tend to be pretty d@mn good ... by the way, the Smoot interference call was ABSOLUTELY correct ... no question about it ... as for the B-Will Int vs. Det., well I don't agree with the call completely, but if we don't hit the QB like an idiot then it does not matter ...

Re: BREAKING NEWS----REFEREES FOR VIKINGS GAMES.............
I agree...Smoot definitely interfered and the refs (besides Jeff Triplette, that flag happy SOB) usually do a good job...and on the K Rob touchdown, while it was clearly pass interference, we can say that from seeing the slow motion replay. Refs don't get that chance and they way both K Rob and Ivy's bodies shielded the play...it would be hard to call. It sucks, but it happens.

Man NFL refs are 10000 times better than CFL refs. Bernie Kukar doesn't miss a thing.

I thought the Refs did a good job. They are human they can miss a few things non of the things they missed called would change the out come of the game.

Re: BREAKING NEWS----REFEREES FOR VIKINGS GAMES.................
I immediately thought it was PI when I saw the replay. It is still debatable, but when a majority of Viking fans admit it was pass interference you just have to wonder. Would a non-Viking fan consider that PI? You know Ram fans would say PI 100%.
When Koren Robinson got raped in the endzone, the replay showed the ref didn't have a good view --- Koren's body blocked the line of sight from what the defender to did to his arms. I didn't see any other angles, so I have no idea if another ref could have made the call.

I swear there is a curse against all Minnesota teams when it comes to ref's. No matter what the team is it seems like they always seem to screw us over somehow.
