Glad you heard good things about him.

I don't want to sound like I am hacking on these late additions. I don't know any of them and I bet they will come in and work their ass off.

I'm just pissed with the FO pukes. If you wanted a starting C, why didn't you draft one when you had a chance?

That sully, Coop and Cook all suck?

He's not the only one who thinks that.
And this kid is gonna beat them out. Comeon bleed, you know more about the game than a post like that.
    Not htis season, no.

But a C taken in the sixth can certainly turn into a good player.

    When was Birk taken?

I'm not holding out on him working, but I do like the pick.
We have 2 zone blocking centers on the roster. You are the GM and the coaching staff has told you they are going to go away from the ZB scheme and need a starting C.

What do you do? Draft a guy that will fix that problem next year?

    WOW.

It's a 6th rounder.. I don't think we really thought we got a homerun here

He's a kid who can sit and learn what we are going to be doing

Just because he would fit the ZB best doesn't mean he's strictly a ZB player..

Let's see later what we end up doing with the kid

WTF? Both Sully & cook were "your boys".

Fusco makes for a nice jersey name.
Please don't bring that "Your Boys" crap to the discussion. I'm to pissed to play that game today.

You know I don't make one fricken pick and I will stick up for this kid just like I did for the others.

You wanna play the "your boys" crap go to the other sites that play that shit. Here we talk football.

Heres a clue, if they were my boys why would I be asking for a replacement for them?

    Birk: 6th
    Christy: 4th
    Kirk Lowdermilk: 3rd
    Dennis Swilley: 2nd

Last but not least, probably the greatest Vikings center ever...

    Mick Tingelhoff

He went UNDRAFTED & was signed by the Vikings as a FA

There's only a finite amount of high draft picks in the draft.

What do you want? These are sixth round picks. we take a bunch of players, I suspect three or more of these guys won't make the roster this year.

There aren't a hwole lot of Centers that will come in and start day one. We have to take them fairly early, and IMO we had more important needs/better players available. We needed to go QB early, and although I don't think we need Rudolph, I do think he will be a very good player for us.

You see, if we had our third, we could maybe get a G/C that could start, but we don't.

Yah it's unheard of for a lateround lineman to be successful -_-
I hear ya my friend. Could happen he is the 3rd rated C on the board but I don't see them fixing that problem with a rook.

Go get a vet, and use this pick to add depth at OLB with a OLB that is big enough to play OLB or maybe a possesion WR if you can't resign Rice.

Again, there is no logic behind what they are doing.

Shocking, do you mean to say that late round linemen can work out very well?

They're doing exactly what you claim they need to do. Sticking to their board.

They're going BPA, regardless of position.
