The're sports journalists. Even with a hot topic most of them will come up short.

    It's the media setup.

If Brad Johnson gets hurt and PEP has good season it's, why in the world would they make that trade!!

If Brad has a decent season and PEP struggles it' wow good call by the Vikes.

Either way this is a to be continued story for the media. They will publish the samething about the Chargers and Titans any moment.

IMO that shopping should have been done in FA, before they signed McMahon.

We got "toaster leavin's" for a back-up QB.

    I highly disagree.

Why do we have backups on the roster, if when they need to back up, we don't use them?

If Johnson goes down, there is no doubt in my mind that McMahon goes in there and does outstanding. Because he knows, once Johnson gets hurt, thats the end of Johnsons career (not because of the actual injury, but what the injury does, time away, etc). You may not like McMahon, but I say he's the future, at least for the next few years.

I don't see us buying anybody like testeverde, thats ridiculous. (kerry collins anybosdy, he's still looking for a home!)
i m better than you, so just give up...

 Thanx for ruining my season before it even starts.

This is where the 6-10 season the analysts were talking about come in to play.

I agree... He is dedcent as a backup, as long as he doesn't have to play.. He does make a mean cup of coffee though..

I could not agree more. That said, health is always a risk, especially at QB. Brad's health will ultimately be a function of 1) good fortune, 2) a top 5 running game, and, 3) an effective, disruptive defense. The Vikes can influence (albeit not control) #1 with success in #'s 2 and 3. This is not a team built like Denny's or Tice's teams, primarily due to Moss and Culpepper both being gone...that's obvious, however, both lines have the POTENTIAL of being among our best ever. They simply must deliver; Brad will do his part.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

The only time that Mike McMahon and future come together is when the sentence states.

Mike McMahon is not the future of the Minnesota Vikings

Thank you Josdin for the sig

One only needs to look at Brad's injury prone ppast to decipher he's long overdue.

    Let's pray he stays healthy.
