Wisen up there folks, Brad would've been able to complete some passes and move and lead the team.

He wouldn't bring us a SuperBowl, but we would get more wins.

TJack has done no miraculous moves to make plays or win a game, his goal has been not to choke.

Now your pondering point is what good is that when we need a new answer?

A patch for a few more victories this year?

Tjack isn't going to get it done, the scouts were right on about him.
Good Ol Chill thinks he is a great QB coach though.

Awfully gloomy post, Vesty - especially after just six games.
Weren't there a whole bunch of articles last week about how difficult it is to play against the 3-4 Defense?

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I agree with the fact that Brad Johnson is by far a better QB, but he didn't do much last year and he's even older now.

I am not saying that Brad would take the Vikes all the way, but the NFC is clearly up for grabs. Tarvaris needs work. He is clearly not ready (this is another point altogether). Johnson's efficiency would have been all Minnesota needed in six close games this season.
Brad Johnson is not unflappable, he makes his share of mistakes, just less of them than TJ.

We haven't changed much since BJ was in there.
We have the same list of problems.

    No time to throw.
    No OL blocking
    No quality WRs

Frankly BJs lack of mobility would probably pose more of a problem than one cares to remember.

The fact is all we have needed is a little efficiency from the QB and yes we would be at least 5-1 right now.
Do I think we would win a superbowl?
Probably not but I would say we could compete with any team.

They are better everywhere except the QB position from last year.
That being said, I would think BJ would be doing better this year than he did last year.
He had way more drops than TJ or KH has other than the Bears game.
There has been time to throw the ball for the most part so that's not an excuse this year.

Ofcourse, BJ would've done better, please don't give me al off this crap now.
last year everybody wanted him gone because all he could do was dump off the ball, and now you guys want him back because he's better in it than TJ?

Hmmm, I usually don't disagree with you and I'm not here, but haven't we done that so far this year?

    L (OT) 17-20

    L 10-13

    L 16-23

    L 14-24

Isn't the Falcons the only team that doesn't have a winning record there?

    I never wanted him gone.
I blamed the drops and the penalties on what went wrong last year.
BJ only had a couple of bad games and even that I believe was caused because no one respected the passing game due to dropped passes.

The same lot that thinks Tice is more intelligent than Childress.
However, BJ has been a successful QB at the NFL level and TJack hasn't done anything.
I definitely prefer the TJack option at this point in time for the Vikings if I had to choose between the two though.

WE had BJ last year and he lost games for us. The past 2 games TJ hasnt lost the games for us. AD won one, and TJ couldnt win yesterdays. Theres a big difference between losing games and not winning them.

Right now just about any NFL qb would be better then TJ. Garcia would have been perfect. A young Quinn would have been a much better project then a raw young TJ. Ive come to the point where i no longer trust Childress to even know what a skilled QB is. Look at all the QBs hes brought in here.

I've given the way the draft went that year.
Who whould you have drafted and were?

What would you have done in this years draft, take Quinn over Peterson?

Please just once back up an argument with something so I can understand your rationale or at least discuss it with you.

Also, why do you continue to say that the Chiller is the only one that makes the decisions in this organization?
Do you know what role the player of personnel/scouting does?
Do you know what the front office guys (Cap) do?
