Remember, it was Childress last December, who called his version of the West Coast offense "kick ass." It was a bold statement then despite his team's offensive shortcoming, and it's a statement his critics still use in jest.

Asked whether he regrets making that statement, Childress says no, he does not.

"I just know how long it takes and evolves, and our guys are a year better in this system. I see guys with more understanding and it's important to have an understanding of what's going on all around you as opposed to what you're just doing in the scheme, that way you can blossom."

The [size=11pt]K[/size]ick [size=11pt]A[/size]ss [size=11pt]O[/size]ffense will be better than ever. I'm so excited about the season.

Yeah that were good.

The coach had skin cancer. So he's just taking care of himself. You have to appreciate that, as well as the fact that he doesn't want to look like a frump.
