Brad Childress Press Conference 11/5
http://www.vikings.com/NewsArticle_childresspc11507.aspx
I’ll just start with injuries here; Tarvaris Jackson again had that concussion yesterday. He has gone through that impact testing today and passes four out of five areas. We’ll check him again tomorrow, but again, he is going to be day-to-day just because of our sensitivity to head and neck injuries. Kelly Holcomb will come out here and throw with a helmet on tomorrow. He truly would have been my emergency guy yesterday and I’m happy we didn’t have to put him out there on the field, although I believe he could have handed it off, as many times as we did. Then Antoine Winfield ran today and he is improving. We’ll just see as he goes through this week if he can burst, but he’s had a lot of treatment on that thing, including Sunday. He got a chance to watch that game from the sideline, which has been the first time he has stood and watched in a long while. It always gives you great perspective watching as a spectator, not as a guy that has got to go back out there on the field. It is a little different perspective when you are watching from the sideline. He helped us a lot on the sideline as well. Other than that, bumps and bruises.
Here was the "meat" of the article IMHO:
andQ: Do you think you might have to bring somebody else in this week with Holcomb also coming off an injury?
A: Good chance we’ll have to have somebody in here to look at, yes.
Q: Do you need to bring quarterbacks in for workouts or are you familiar enough with them?
A: No, we are going to have some guys in to work out.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

Well, we already know Jeff George won't be invited to try out!
I mean, Chili thinks he should stick to fantasy camp!!

So what's wrong with just leaving Brooks in there until both are 100 percent? He did a fine job Sunday. I wouldn't risk either guy as long as Bollinger is being effective out there like he has been.

Per Press Conf. : Starting QB not decided
I know Childress likes to hold back who his starting QB is... like it affects the game plan... but it seems that the Wed workout will tell if TJ is a go.
If he isn't 100%, BB is the better choice.
Who will they bring in for the backup QB position?

Re: Brad Childress Press Conference 11/5
Q: The way Bollinger has played these last two games, is that the way you want your quarterback to play the position?
A: You want it to be played high percentage pass-wise, low percentage turnover, low percentage sack. That’s the way you always want the quarterback position to be played.
Uhhhh, we like our Quarterbacks to play good, that's the way we want our QB's to play.
Oh, thanks for making that so clear, so does that mean Bollinger will start.
What do I look like, the coach?

Honestly I'd have to say T.Jack over Holcomb for the backup....if T.Jack can go. He gives us a better running option against a quick G.B. defense. Although I don't tyhink anybody really wants to see him take off and run again.....OUCH!
