Brad Childress is going to cost us the Super Bowl.

    GBU Week 10
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
    General Peppers

    http://www.insidethegridiron.com/the-good-the-bad-the-ugly/2009/11/17/gbu-week-10/

... That is why I just couldn’t muster any excitement over the Vikings’ 27-10 stomping of the Lions; something just didn’t sit right. I spent the rest of the day writing down what bothered me about the game. I had it DVR’d so I could re-watch it to find any mistakes I missed. I felt like Ron Jaworski for a solid two hours.

When all was said and done, when all the mistakes were calculated, there was only one conclusive answer:

Brad Childress is going to cost us the Super Bowl.

After he brought us Brett Favre, the Vikings Collective forgot that we had the worst head coach in the league this side of whomever the Raiders hire. We forgot that we had the Mike Dunleavy of the NFL. The guy who didn’t know how to use his stars. The guy with no sense of desperation or timing...
The article goes onto talk about MVP candidates and other things, but we all know that will get ignored and it will just be all about what the guy said about the Vikings. Enjoy
    We're bringing purple back.

Brad does scare me but hopefully Favre can make up for his weaknesses.

This is a horrible article. This guy doesn't know a hell of a lot about football. I like this quote:
The guy who is STILL starting Bernard Berrian even though Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice would give us one of the top five best receiving corps in the league
Um, first the idea of "starting" WRs shows how little he knows. Second, we have a very good combination X-Y-Z combo with Rice-Harvin-Berrian. What is he purposing? Move Rice to Flanker? Harving to split end? Berrian to slot? If that isn't the absolute worst arrangement I can think of, then I don't know what is. Keep Berrian as a flanker so he can use his speed. And Harvin is perfect in the slot.

This guy should maybe crack a book, or better yet, play some football, before he starts talking about how badly somebody else is managing a team.

10-1 baby! That Childress really sucks!

Running the clock is good especially if we face a certain high powered offensive team *cough the Saints*. Keeping them off the field is key but running the ball on 3rd and 7 in the red zone and taking a FG in the Lions game kinda had me worried about the road ahead. It boggles my mind a little why you wouldn't let Favre take a shot in the end zone. Or 4th and 1 and running up the middle with Dugan? I'm not really a chilly hater but I'm indifferent right now about him.

Gotta agree with NP on this. Cat seems to have ESPN Highlight knowledge of the game.

Re:Brad Childress is going to cost us the Super Bo

Eh ... not that great of an article honestly and the guy is just trying to spout crap because he does not like Childress and would rather be right about that and lose than wrong and win.

Look ... ALL coaches make mistakes ... Chilly definitely has his flaws, but as a whole I see no reason to think he is going to let us down.

I think the biggest problem we will/may have is that the Saints and Colts are just that damn good. Does not mean we got "outcoached" or that we "fucked up" ... sometimes teams are just better than you. And there is not doubt that these teams COULD just be better than us.

Excellent post and a great point.

A incident like 98 sure will/would take the wind out of alot of sails.

Most will forget that this year is just the beginning of alot of chances to win the big one.

True that, for example the Belichick going for it on 4th down against the Colts. :P
