How many backbreaking interceptions did he throw?

You don't lose your starting "Pro-Bowl" QB and have your defense 'gell' and your offense 'click' all of a sudden without a correlation.

Correlation or not - correlation means only association, not causation.

I kind of disagree with that. Usually the bench mark for a team to get together and really "gell" and/or "click" is week 8. C-Pep got hurt in...week 8. So the fact that Daunte got hurt, the offense got better and the defense started doing their job had a lot to do with timing. I agree that C-Pep was partly at fault, but to me Tice takes the brunt of the blame. The rest is just coincidence and timing, IMO.

Why are those of us who aren't thrilled with Daunte Culpepper and his lack of leadership "hate-mongers?" I find it quite depressing when I think that he will be our starting QB for years to come, but I do not hate him, nor will I stop being a Vikings fan. Not liking a QB is a far cry from being a "hate-monger." I have been a Vikings fan since I can remember, and I have seen a lot of QBs come and go, as a lot of people here have. Daunte isn't my favorite QB, not because he can't throw the ball--he can do that--but because of his lack of leadership and ability to stay calm in a tight situation. It is not "hate-mongering" to have an opinion about a football player. I know there are a lot of people here who really like Daunte Culpepper, but please stay civil to those of us who don't. We're all Vikings fans here.
