Good article. Put the ball in the endzone on kickoffs and I will be convinced.

Whatever. He's a kicker. Let's hope we're scoring too many TD's to worry about his FG%.
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

I am honestly not worries about his FG%. He looks to be at least as good as Longwell was in the last year. The kickoffs are where I think we will see a definite improvement.

Kickers Suck...they should be eliminated from FFL and, they better make every kick. And, put the ball through the end zone on kickoffs. There, I just summarized coach speak.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

There's no doubt he can do that, but a shit-load of kickers can do that.
He'll have to prove to me that he can return to the form he kicked at two years ago.
Last year Walsh was only 60% on FG's made. Longwell was 79%. That's not "as least as good". That is a huge difference.
2 years ago he was 87%. Now that's what I'm hoping for & want to see again. He may have been in a funk last year & hopefully he's past it as he says, but this is the NFL now & seeing is believing.Last edited by singersp; 05-25-2012 at 09:18 AM.

What is it about Spielman and his picks?
His middle name must be hope!
He's picking people he 'hopes' will return to their previous form after a down season or injury; or worse yet, perform at a level they never have before.
No disrespect for this kicker, he may turn out great, but there were a lot of kickers to chose from. Why not take one that had a great season last year?
Especially considering we are using a draft pick on him?
I'll bet Spielman brought home a lot of lost puppies during his childhood.
