Blackout A Good Thing?
I'm just musing that the first blackout in 100 games may be a good thing for the Vikings.
It will do one of two things...
1) It will wake up Wilf to take as careful look at the coach as so many have suggested; or
2) It will wake up the fans that they cannot just be fairweather fans if they want the Vikings to remain a part of Minnesota they have to start supporting it rather than just complaining all the time.Kentucky Vikes Fan

I think we need it. Maybe we we finally hear something different in the stadium instead of that is another Vikings sellout. I always look to my left and right and laugh because of all the empty seats.

it is a double edged sword. You don't like to see games blacked out but, coupled with some of the records from last week, then it may highlight issues to the ownership that things have taken a step backwards.I'm just musing that the first blackout in 100 games may be a good thing for the Vikings.

Once in a while living in N.Cali can be beneficial when it comes to games. This Sunday is one of those times. We will get the entire Raiders game televised here.
Cheers!Where is Frostbite Falls Minnesota?

If there is a blackout the loacal tv stations should replay old clips of the Lakers and North Stars leaving over and over again.

Re: Blackout A Good Thing?
Well I will still see the game.
Football package and living in colorado.
I think it will be a good thing if the game is blacked out.
Ziggy maybe will see what happens when you have a bad coach and a terrible qb on the same club,
Ziggy may figure things out and fire Childress and find a damn good qb coach who can coach Jackson.
Right now our qb coach is doing nothing!

Re: Blackout A Good Thing?
I haven't even heard talk of the possibility of a blackout for the Raiders game.
Tickets are still selling wekk on eBay & are going for more than the Chargers game did & that's inspite of the fact that we just lost 34-0 to the Packers & AD for at least that game.
Either there are a lot of fans still supporting the team or there are a shit load of Raiders fans coming or there are still a bunch of Culpepper crotch sniffers who are coming with the hope that he will be QBing that game.
It's going to be interesting to see if Culpepper draws cheers or jeers from the crowd.
