BJ's 40 yarder to TW uncovers a glaring weakness.....

Like I've posted before, Brad is a very good QB.
The problem with having a receiver like TW, and I saw this in college, is that many QB's can't throw the ball far enough and TW ends up having to slow down for a ball.
In other words, he outruns the QB's arm.
I was afraid of this with BJ and the replay of that pass, while a nice catch, shows TW had to slow down to a point where the D back almost caught up with him.
I'm afraid Brad's arm will not allow TW to go long very often.
But hey, we'll take 20 yarders all the way down the field if we have to do that to score.
    Just an observation.
    Any thoughts?? ???

Here's my thought - don't base observations on ONE FRIGGING PASS.

    Thanks!

Anyone remember the play, it was late last year, first play of the game, BJ heaved it downfield and hit the reciever in stride, 40 yards or so in the air.
It was like, yeah, I still got it.

I think BJ's poise and accuracy will serve him well, picking up third down, etc.
The dinks and dunks to tight ends and backs on curl routes, are going to suck the corners and FS in tight, so when he does let it fly, there will be that room for error.
Add a quick release into the mix.

I think the point is valid, but there are many, many dynamics to playing quarterback.
Look at Jeff George, cannon arm and that's about it.

As long as BJ's jersey stays clean, we'll be fine.
Bring me the prisoners; I want them alive!

I think most of your posts have been as a Troy apologist, trying to convince everyone he is a hero.
I like the guy and think he'll develop into a decent receiver in the NFL.
The BJ arm strength is a press induced fallacy.
Sure, he can't pass deep like the Mannings of the world, but he will do fine with protection.
    I'm not worried about it.
Troy's development as a receiver has a lot more room for improvement, much more than BJs development as a QB.
BJ makes up for his loss of athleticism by using his brain and continuing to develop.
The BJ/Williamson connection will be more reliant on Williamson's development as a top-tier WR in the NFL.

That would have been Brad to Koren Robinson against Detroit.
The only TD Koren caught all season.

BJ is like Phil Simms; accurate, reads defeses well, protects the football and knows when to take sacks, throws a good post pattern.

its not a big deal, t will was drafted last year for the wrong reason anyways..hes a far better player when he can catch the ball on short routes, then use his speed and agility after the catch to make big plays..hes much better suited in this offense with johnson than he was with daunte in the verticle passing game
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.
