Rift with Vikings?
There has been tension all summer between Vikings coach Brad Childress and his veteran players over starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. But Childress was stubborn about making a switch. He could have traded for Kelly Holcomb sooner. Then, he actually could have created some competition between Holcomb and Jackson.


I'm no fan of Holcomb, but he might have given the Vikings a better chance of winning if he had been playing for the last couple of weeks. Childress and his players know that they might have beaten Detroit with Holcomb, considering how poorly Jackson played in that game a week ago. The Chiefs were due to win one and sacked Holcomb five times. Holcomb didn't throw an interception in 28 attempts, but he also didn't throw a touchdown pass.

Childress should stick with him for another game or so because Minnesota is good enough on defense this year to be a factor.

Why haven't we heard about all this tension?

i still say stick w/ t-jack. he's a young kid... give him a shot

A good game against the Packers for TJack could release any of this supposed tension and close the "rift" between the veteran players and their coach.
Winning cures everything in the NFL.

we need to play TJack see what we have, so if he doesnt show improvement then we need to draft a qb plain and simple, no point on playing holcomb for the year and then being in this same fucking situation

We need to stick wit T-Jack. He's got tha goods, now he's got to show'em on the field. He can make plays with his legs, and outside the pocket. Holocomb like a sitting duck back there. He proved that against the Chiefs. T-Jack is the future, so he needs to play!!!
