Yeah it's tough luck. Of course were lucky to have had the guy this far with as many injuries as he has had.

Yah, we will probably suck at running the ball again and Culpepper will end up throwing it 50 times. I think Withrow is a little better in pass protection than he is in run blocking.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Not just a week, but up to four weeks out....
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings center Matt Birk will miss at least four games after undergoing sports hernia surgery Friday for the second time in four months.
Birk, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, had been playing in extreme pain for several weeks. Team doctors initially scheduled surgery for Monday, but Vikings coach Mike Tice pushed for an earlier date after reviewing Birk's performance in recent weeks.
``His body's shutting down,' Tice said. ``His whole (lower abdomen) is shutting down. He can't change directions, he can't run, he can't do anything.'
Birk, who missed three preseason games after undergoing the same procedure Aug. 4, should be ready for the Vikings' game Dec. 24 against Green Bay, Tice said.
Backup Cory Withrow will start in Birk's absence. The Vikings signed veteran Billy Conaty on Thursday to back up Withrow.

Moss coming back should help the running game. The safeties will have to play a little deeper since opposing defenses will have to respect the passing game, and particularly the long ball.

4 weeks isn't cool.....but we'll still grab the W this week. All I can say is, C-pep to Moss.
