Birk misses practice

Just shows how much the Vikes have taken for granted that Birk will always be there at center. The article indicates that he'll hopefully be back on Wednesday, though I have seen some posts on another board saying that an injury like this may need prolonged rest - we shall have to wait and see

Ouch that is not good news hopefully the doc's are on it and right, but as the coach said it does show No 2 nad 3 can step up to the plate a little nervous but "glad to be playing with the big boys"

I heard that cory withrow was nowhere near to what birk brings to the field. Lets just hope he'll be back on wednesday and unable to reagravate that injury.

The reports indicated that in the first session that Withrow was having problems but that he was ok by the close of it. One good thing is that it happened in TC and so gave the Vikes the head-up on how to handle the problem. They got caught out here but best it happened now and not during the season
