    Birk getting healthy

Things are looking good for Birk to be ready for the season opener!

    From espn.com:
Minnesota Vikings: Pro Bowl center Matt Birk was taken off the physically unable to perform list, five days ahead of schedule.

He won't be playing in Friday's exhibition game against Kansas City, but the Vikings are pleased with his progress from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip. Birk has said he will play in the regular-season opener on Sept. 11 against Tampa Bay.

    That is great news!

I hope that he does not become an injury prone guy and can stay healthy.
