Vikings center Matt Birk is one of three finalists for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. Birk is joined by Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner is a finalist for an honor that recognizes a playerâ€™s off-the-field community service as well as his play on the field.

I like Birk and hope he sticks around

He urks me sometimes since he is the "QB" of the line and fails to get the line ready for the play

But im not so sure Sullivan is quite ready.. I am a firm believer in giving someone 2 years and working them in.. Unless u get someone like Peterson

Sullivan will be good.. Right now im more comfortable with Birk

Oh and sorry.. Congrats on the award.. I hope he gets it! He's a great guy

What the hell is all of this jibberish about him getting the line calls wrong? There has never been one shred of evidence supporting that claim. It just happens to fall under the category of "If someone says it often enough it becomes fact"

Birk is a home town guy, A great asset to the team and the community and has been a key part of the line for a decade.

You may not like him personally but there is no reason to believe he is making the wrong line calls.

Matt has been and is, still one of the elite Centers in the league, but I hate to say, since his hip surgery, he hasn't been his old self.
But he's still better than your average center......

Marr tends to blame Birk for allowing a blitzer that is supposed to be picked up by a RB **cough AD cough** isn't picked up.
