You want us to go to a 3-4? Why?

Wasn't he considered a DT/DE tweener coming out of college? I think he could convert to a 3-4 DE, depending on the system you'll use. I'd love him in Capers' system, where DTs are supposed to get penetration, more so than just holding their ground.

He could play DE in a 3-4, but right now he's already playing like a monster. Why would you screw with something that's working beautifully?

And as for the 3-4 generally, I'll admit I'm a sometimes fan of the system, but switching this team over to it now is one of the most asinine things I've ever read on this board. This defense is built for the 4-3, and has played quite well in it for most of the past few years. Basically, we need some decent safeties, some depth at corner, maybe another RE who can actually pass rush, and we're set for a long time.

3-4 or 4-3 isn't as big as the overall philosophy of the scheme: does it sit back or does it attack. I prefer defenses that take the game to the offense. Frazier has shown this only sparingly with the Vikings.

There is no way Sharper or Byrd get nine picks with the Vikings.
