Good for him, I have no doubt he'll be a good head coach, probably better than our head coach.

Great. Take him. Maybe we can finally find a DC who can get the defense to play with a modicum of consistency.

In response to those thinking this may be to satisfy the Rooney rule, he will be interviewed after they interviewed their interim coach Perry Fewell, who is also african-american. So they have already satisfied the rule. He is being interviewed because he is a very good coach. Our defense has not been consistent, but it has been very good considering the huge injuries and lack of depth on that side of the ball. Letting him slip away is the same thing that happened with Tomlin. This is not good for us.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

I'm confused. I thought they weren't allowed to interview coordinators until after they were eliminated from playoff contention... Did this change?

Good thing you actually read this thread, asshat.

They changed the rule to allow coaches on a bye week to interview... this was done to allow some coaches who were on SB teams last year to interview in the 2 week run up to the big game.

Never mind. Had I read the article I would have seen this:
Though the Vikings' season has not ended, assistant coaches on teams with postseason byes may be interviewed during the off week.
That is a stupid rule. I want Frazier to have his head down preparing for the divisional game and beyond, not looking ahead to some future head coaching job...

    LOL.

Yes, I fully admit my asshatedness for responding before reading...

    Re:Bills to interview Frazier tomorrow

I guess I am not sure where the logic would be in hiring Frazier. He has a more talented team on Defense here that has collapsed at times. What would hiring a defensive guy do for their team.

Again IMO, the guy that they want is Billick. There are some nice tools there that he could work with. Plus he has HC experience. With the coaching carousel in full tilt, a proven commodity is what is needed there.

Not if the org asks first and is granted permission.

On a side note, who cares, they have the week off right?

    .......snicker..........
