    Don't think so.
In order to consider it a mistake, Moss would have to be productive somewhere else.
He hasn't been, and I have my doubts that he will be in NE.
It might be a decision that some people disagreed with, but you can't call it a mistake.

Drew Pearson call and Jim Marshall's infamous run.
Also, not searching for a real head coach when Denny walked...letting Meathead drive the team into mediocrity.
May Red McCombs drive a Pacer for the rest of his days.

-Taking Darrin Nelson over Marcus Allen in the 1982 draft.

-Building the MetroDome instead of a real stadium in and then bitching about having to play there for the next 25 years.

-Getting rid of both Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson(Who both went on to lead their teams to the SB) in favor of Daunte Culpepper.
They could have used that pick to take
Jevon Kearse, who could have gave us the defensive presence to get to the super bowl.

-Letting Dennis Green stay and letting Tony Dungy go. Think of where we could be if we would have canned Green early and promoted Tony to head coach.

Gotta call bullshit on that one too.

The metrodome is, overall, a success story.
It was/is hugely profitable, a helluva lot nicer than the old met, and became an iconic stadium in the NFL.
It is old and needs to be replaced, yes, but it was not a mistake.

And don't start with any of the "outdoor stadium" BS.
I don't know for sure how many people here on PP.O were ever at the Old Met, but it was no picnic, that's for sure.
Call me a pussy all you want, but I enjoy my December games indoors now.
Plus, with out the roof, the Metrodome would never have paid for itself as quickly as it did.

Now if (when) we build a new stadium, I think it would be a mistake to do anything other than a retractable roof.
Take the profitability of the dome as well as the nostalgia of the old met and combine them...

Not to mention, no roof = no Super Bowl.

I would love for Minneapolis to host it again in a new stadium.

The choice of the color purple.
    Not exactly a fearsome color.
