Re: Biggest change for the Vikings this year: Special teams

I feel much more confident in our FG kicking having longwell back there.

Someone is definately going to have to step up and pick up the slack on ST if Koren isnt returning kicks/punts. But even if they can perform as well as they did last year I will be thoroughly impressed with this unit

Why does he want a punter holding the ball for our field goal kicker? I always thought it made more sense to have a qb doing that incase of a bobbled snap or something than he could hopefully find someone open. Or if they want to fake a field goal he can be in there to throw the ball to.

I guarantee Memo will play a bigger role on special teams. Memo might be used the way philly used Hershel Walker & Brian Westbrook exclusively on PR/KR and 3rd down situations.

I just don't see the Vikings havings any other potential options right now.

I'm excited to see how ALL of our new coaches do, from Childress all the way to Ferraro. I swear, this is going to be like watching an expansion team, only without having to see your team leave. LOL It's gonna be painful to have to wait and see what the final starting roster looks like.

Seriously...has any NFL team EVER had as many changes in one offseason as the Vikings in '06???

    BRING ON THE SEASON!!!!!

Why can't we just start the season sooner so we can see how everything turns out? Offseason is too long.
