Re: Big uglies won't help Vikings in Minnesota

The first comment cracked me up.

    Seriously,

He has shown no signs....... DUH,,,,,,
what do you expect after only 4 games
    :

Overall though I agree with Mr. A, not a bad assesment other than the 4-12 mark.
    Should be better than that.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

    Take your eyes off:
DE Kenechi Udeze—No sacks last year leaves nowhere to go but up (or the bench).
Udeze played out of position last year after Erasmus went down.
Granted zero sacks is unimpressive, but I've read that Udeze was oversized for the position he was asked to play.
His skills at containment, stopping the rush and disrupting are ideal for the strong side of the line.
I expect a big year from Udeze, rather than a benching.

Udeze did have 2 sacks he wasn't credited for. 1 was called back on a penalty & another was for a 10 yard loss where he caused a fumble, but the offense recovered it.

I also believe it's worth mentioning again that Udeze led the vikings with 13 tackles for a loss.

Re: Big uglies won't help Vikings in Minnesota

    Underwhelming article.
Starts off talking about how close we were last year and then assumes we'll be worse this year...he speaks highly of the OLINE and running game but fails to mention we allowed the 10th most sacks and led the league in penalties (many by our line)...which, as stated before, leads to any QB struggling!!
Turn those two things around and we've got a chance at 10 wins, whoever the starting QB is...remember Dilfer in the superbowl anybody??
